1) Construction temperature. When constructing a glass brick wall, the ambient temperature should not be less than 5℃. Generally suitable construction temperature is 5℃~30℃.

2) Wind in construction weather. When constructing external glass bricks, the wind force should generally not exceed level 4. When the wind power exceeds 4th level, windshield or support measures shall be taken.

3) Expansion joint. According to the characteristics of the region, the construction temperature in different regions is also different. In areas with large temperature differences, expansion joints should be reserved when constructing glass brick walls; expansion joints are also required to be reserved for bathroom partitions. The connection of large-area external walls or curved internal walls also needs to consider wall expansion and strength. Embedded steel plates are installed on the side and upper and lower vertical surfaces every 400 mm perforated holes. Generally, 60×5 mm rubber plates are used for cushioning and expansion on the side. The size of the steel plate is 5×5 mm. The embedded steel plate and the expansion bolt are fully welded. For the processing of mesh steel bars, the material is selected from ordinary steel bars of 5-6㎜ (wire drawing can be used if possible). The processed mesh is fully welded on the embedded steel plate. A horizontal expansion is generally reserved at about 3m. Expanding material. If the size of the horizontal wall is too large, angle steel back to back welding can be used as a column at 3m to increase the wall's resistance to horizontal and reverse shearing forces. The height of the single-sided glass brick on the outer wall is generally not recommended to be higher than 3m (except for the internal wall with concrete beams). If necessary, it must exceed 3m, and the upper and lower steel structures must be processed. U-shaped steel or I-beam (8#, 10#) fixed on the upper and lower concrete beams.

4) Wind load and earthquake resistance. The outer wall decorated with glass bricks is suitable for areas with a height of 24m and below 24m (basic wind load of 0.55kN/m2 and earthquake resistance of 7 degrees and below 7 degrees).

5) The seam is an indispensable part of the glass brick structure. The seam not only affects the appearance and shape of the glass brick wall, but also plays a great role in the structural performance of the glass brick wall. Ordinary red bricks cannot be directly superimposed on the wall, and we are against the direct stacking of glass bricks and glass bricks. At the same time, it is not recommended to use glass glue to glue construction, which is neither beautiful nor firm, nor economical, and is prone to bursting of glass bricks. We divide the seam of the glass brick wall into two parts, the structural seam and the beautification seam. The structural joint is inside the glass brick wall. It is used as a concealed project in the construction of the masonry and plays a role in filling and connecting. The structural joint determines the structure and firmness of the glass brick wall. The glass brick has a concave design on the 8cm thick edge and is sprayed with protective paint. It is recommended to use #425 black cement mortar for structural joints. The beautification joint is exposed outside the glass brick wall, which is the “face project” of the glass brick wall. The traditional construction is done with white cement mortar, but now there are many choices. The caulking materials for mosaics and tiles can be used for the beautification joints of glass brick walls.

6) M20 special mortar must be used when building external walls with glass bricks (1:2 comparison). After the mortar is prepared, it should be used within 30 minutes to one hour, and it should be prepared again after exceeding.

7) Regarding the reinforcement, it can be divided into single reinforcement, double reinforcement, trapezoidal reinforcement, flat iron, and anchors abroad. Trapezoidal ribs are processed on site by the construction party, using φ6 cold-drawn prestressing ribs, which are used horizontally and vertically in the wall. Trapezoidal ribs are welded to the steel from top to bottom. Vertical steel bars are generally erected every two to three bricks, and three horizontal bars are used to place the steel bars.

8) The glass brick must be corrected vertically and horizontally before the initial setting of the mortar.

9) Size compensation. The structure of the glass brick wall is composed of glass bricks and seams. Because the glass brick is not easy to cut, and even cutting will partially destroy the performance of the glass brick. Reserving the hole in the glass brick wall, please calculate the size before construction and do the design before construction. If the hole size of the reserved wall hole is in error, C20 concrete will be used to make up the ground. If the ground cannot be compensated, it can only be achieved by adjusting the seam.

10) About waterproof treatment. Except for the bathroom, there is no need for waterproof treatment in other places. In addition to the waterproof glue (alkaline or neutral glass glue) in the joint mentioned in the above construction process, the external wall waterproof can also be sprayed with TAF traceless waterproof after the wall is dried for 24 hours Afterwards, the waterproof effect can be achieved when the seam is made with elastic paint. Regardless of the method, it is necessary to build on the basis of full slurry construction and no leakage in glass brick construction.

11) Treatment of glass brick corners and shoulders. The range of products we provide covers the side brick, corner brick and shoulder brick series. The corner brick C can be corner processed with any specification, pattern, color and deep processing, bringing a wider selection space. In addition, square steel, plastic steel or square wood can be used for corner or side shoulder treatment. Edge treatment can use frosted glass, stainless steel, stone, wood, aluminum alloy and other materials directly adhered to the glass brick, can also achieve a certain effect. Usually these materials do not exceed the width and thickness of the glass brick, which will affect the effect of the entire glass brick wall.

12) Connection of glass bricks and various profiles. The glass brick is directly connected to the concrete wall surface. This is the most common connection method in the construction of glass bricks. It uses the external wall structure and indoor corridors and office partitions. In the construction, the connection with the concrete on the upper and lower sides is not high, and the area on one side is not large. Basically, there is no need to reserve expansion joints. The glass brick is just a kind of filler, and there is no problem of integration into the structure. The specific connection is very simple. Generally, expansion bolts are installed on the sides and the upper and lower facades. The horizontal and vertical T-shaped bars are directly welded to the bolts, or after drilling holes The cement in the hole will be blown clean with the wind, and the T-shaped steel bar will be glued to the wall with glue. Glass brick and glass connection, the side of the glass brick and glass connection can be made of U-shaped steel or angle steel butt welding, and the column can be cold-plated galvanized and fluorocarbon coating or directly treated with anti-rust paint to avoid rust and corrosion If you need visual beauty, you can use stainless steel cladding to handle the column. After the column is completed, the glass is directly bonded to the column with silicone glue. When aluminum alloy, aluminum plate and glass brick are connected with cement, buffer material (rubber plate) needs to be added in the middle.

13) The bracket is an auxiliary material and tool in the construction of the glass brick structure, which makes the whole masonry simple and easy, and makes the seam horizontal and vertical, more beautiful. It is recommended for those who are not familiar with the initial construction or construction process, but be sure to calculate the dimensions of the glass brick, the joint and the entire glass brick structure, and set out before construction. At the same time, the common specifications of domestic glass brick supporting brackets are only 3mm, 6mm,

There are a few types of 10mm and 13mm, which can be said to have limited choices, and the bracket also limits the corrective effect of the bracket on the size error of the glass brick structure. Professional and skilled construction personnel may not be used.
